MySpeakerFriend
MySpeakerFriend is a scheme that provides West Berkshire residents who are isolated and lonely with a free simple to use speaker.
Personalised content is created on a USB
stick and delivered monthly to registered users by one of our volunteers. The
scheme was born from an idea during the COVID pandemic to reach those who were
not digitally enabled and ensure that they had something to keep them engaged
and some interaction with others.
The scheme has been running successfully for over 2 years and has over 60
registered users.

We are always looking for pro-active passionate volunteers to help drive this special project forward.
There are multiple ways that you could get involved;
– Could you go and promote the scheme to potential new users ?
– Could you create content for the USB sticks?
– Could you deliver the monthly USB sticks to users and stop for a quick doorstep chat?
– Could you help the editing team with content ?
